Well, we have had a scoop purchase today!! Two of the kids, L & M, needed to get new bikes as theirs were getting old and falling apart. They have both been asking for some time for 'gear bikes' but it has not been a financial priority. Well, the local paper here has an 'under $200' section on Tuesdays and today's paper had an ad listed for "2 bikes (boy and girl) - Mongoose brand - good condition - $40 each." We made a call as soon as we saw the ad and booked a time to check them out at lunchtime. They were in GREAT condition and I quickly agreed to pay the requested price - $80 for *2* new-looking 'gear bikes'?!? You betcha!
As you would expect, L & M have been riding around our 5 acres like mad all afternoon. I am thankful for God's provision of bikes - it seems like such a simple thing but, oh, what a blessing!!
